Our needs are legitimate in life. What is not legitimate is the things we have relied upon to meet them. In order to achieve lasting, fulfilling recovery we must learn to change our reliance. Learning to depend on God instead of our addiction or compulsion will not only give us security but also happiness.
Many of us use because "we just want to be happy" The way to true happiness is found through faith in and obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit in out daily lives.
