Luke 20:21 “Teacher,” they said, “we know that you speak and teach what is right and are not influenced by what others think. You teach the way of God truthfully.
Our family has an influence on who we are today. Some of is want to believe our family different than they really are. Others may want to avoid responsibility for our addiction and dependency, blaming our family.
The reality of our family make up is not always easy to accept. But accept it we must in order to establish ourselves in God's family and move forward in recovery. To be influenced in our future by God we must look at the reality of our family relationships today. Talk to God about what is wrong and trust Him to help us put it right.
