Most of us can identify one or two people with whom we had special bonds growing up. A friend, a sibling, a team mate. Someone we knew we could always rely on in tough times.
When we prepare to make amends, we also need to prepare our hearts to accept whatever love, support or friendships may develop as a result of this step. God never designed us to be alone. The supportive relationships we experience in recovery are God given to strengthen us in our spiritual growth.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.
