Mistakes

Genesis 4:6-7 God spoke to Cain: "Why this tantrum? Why the sulking? If you do well, won't you be accepted? And if you don't do well, sin is lying in wait for you, ready to pounce; it's out to get you, you've got to master it."

When someone points out you have made a mistake do you deny it? or try to correct it?

God gave Cain a chance to right his wrong, but Cain refused.

Through recovery God gives us a chance to right our wrongs, to correct our mistakes. Recovery demands rigorous honesty and when others point out our mistakes it is important we are open minded enough to look at them and make changes to live God's way instead of our own.
